Summary of findings
Our findings shows that the amount of force needed to burst the balloon increases when we increase the total surface area of the nails.This proves that P=F/A.
With our methods, we could use this method to find out the perfect and right size needed for tires to achieve maximum performance. And since rubber is such a flexible and widely used material, our findings and procedure and help them to find the suitable amount of rubber or surface for their product.
Also able to find the right size of the balloon needed for Angioplasty balloons. If its too long, it might not be able to curve to the length of the artery. If its too If its too wide, it won't fit into the artery, thus our with our methods, we could use this to find out the perfect and right size needed for it.
Areas for further studies
We could have also do a similar setup but now instead of finding if the increase suface area will effect the maximum force needed to burst the balloon, we could use time as a variable, having the same amount of force applied and see how long it takes for it to burst.
